Boeing E-4B Nightwatch Released

Attached Image: 1662.jpg

Project Open Sky released today another special variant of the great 747-200v4A series.
The E-4B Nightwatch is derived from the Boeing 747-200B and was introduced on the height
of the cold war in 1973 as E-4A. In 1979 the last of four aircraft was delivered and
equipped with new instruments, now designated E-4B. The rest of the fleet was updated to
the E-4B standard until 1985.

The E-4B is constructed to serve as an independent advanced airborne command post to withstand
the EMP after a nuclear weapon attack when parts of land bound electronic equipment is unusable.
The military leaders could control the entire armed forces of the US from this command
post. The 4 E-4B belong to the Air Combat Command,55th Wing, 1st Airborne Command
Control Squadron based at Offutt AFB.

Please have fun flying our newest model.

Nice attitude for a first post...

The link goes to an old page. The website's currently being remodeled, so patience is key. In the meantime, you can get the file from Flightsim.

Edit: It's already in the Downloads section here:

Hey wtf is with the attitude on these newbs?

It just keeps getting worse. I mean, you go to all the trouble of making a new model and releasing it for free then there's a slight hiccup with the link and *BAM* out comes the attitude.

I got lots and lots of stupid questions left to ask yet.
From paints to panels and virtual 'pits its the biggest rip off there is. Gee Whiz!
I don't wanna grow up cause baby if I did, I couldn't be an FSX kid.
More game less sim oh boy!
I wanna be an FSX kid!

Hi Folks,
I downloaded this file some time ago, and just started to put it into my folders. However, I can't remember whether this was compatible with FSX. The readme indicates it's an FS9 file (which is ok, I can use it there also) but would like to run it in FSX if compatible. As an old member of 4ACCS (Ellsworth), I sent quite a few folks to fly in both 1ACCS (this model) and 2 ACCS (EC-135 C models). Too bad the Navy took over most of this mission.
Thanks,
Habu2u (Bob)

You may need to make a few tweaks, but from what I understand, most POSKY FS9 models port over to "X" reasonably well.

Hi folks!

Sorry to ask, but I'm new as a member here. I used to have FS9, but I switched to FSX last year and I can't flight Open Sky's airplanes on it. Well, I can fly them, but textures are not compatible with FSX. Can anybody tell me if models for FSX are available?

Switch your DX10 check off. This is rule 1 with Fs9 port overs. To Posky Excellent model and job well done. I enjoy the nightwatch in both sims, Thank you.

Glad to hear that, I never tested it in FSX and made some modifcations I weren't sure about if they will port over to FSX.
