We are getting closer to the release date on this much delayed and anticipated regional jet...

Q&A

Question: What is different between this model and the previous CRJ900 model?
Answer: Our newest CRJ900 is based on the previously released CRJ700, meaning it was built from scratch and not based on the previous CRJ900. This model also incorporates the same features of the CRJ700. There will be 2 models released (unlike the previous version - back then the newer winglet had not been introduced), one with the newer winglet and older style winglet.

Question: Will there be a public aintkit available?
Answer: A paintkit will be released 1 week after the initial release. The fuselage base textures will be layered and is in a similar style to the CRJ700 paintkit.

Question: What liveries will be released?
Answer: The following liveries previewed will be released - there may be more liveries added later on.

Question: When and where will we release this model?
Answer: If all goes well we expect to release some time in January 2010. We currently are in the process of finalising the model/textures and sorting through minor issues. We will initially release this model on our own website.

Question: Will there be a VC included?
Answer: Unfortunately there will be no VCs included with this model

Looking great, can't wait to see it in LH colors.

May I ask if an updated model of the CRJ200 is also planed?

Possibly later, but that would result in a complete new model from scratch. The CRJ700/900 fuselage is a bit wider but all gears, nose, tail, engines, all different. We don't have the source for the current 200 but whenever we release new models we always build from scratch.

If the question is whether there are any current work to do the 200 the answer is no (sorry if you are disappointed! :D), as Nick stated before a CRJ200 will have to be built from scratch.
Secondly we probably have enough ongoing projects (awaiting release) at the moment to keep us busy for the entire 2010 year so it's going to be a big year ahead of us!

Nice looking plane. I've noticed them more and more @ SAT while heading down to gate 15/16.

When I worked the ramp for Delta @ SAT most of our daily flights where CRJ900's, most of them where ASA and Pinnacle, but I don't know now, I haven't been there since Oct. 09

Just did a SAT turn out of MEM the other day. Think we also fly from MSP and DTW too. Paints are looking great btw! ;)

Oh sure, fly into SAT after I leave :P

That used to be a Pinnacle flight with a CRJ200.. and then in the evening it was a NWA A320.

Mesaba just had the MSP-SAT but I guess they're picking up more routes now. Compass was easy to work on but those darn planes kept having weight issues because of the distance it had to fly.

We take off, fly around for a while and land...somewhere else
The whole plane wanted to go to California so we took them there.. that's what we do.
It's not rocket science, it's jetBlue.
